How Qibla Is Calculated
Qible computes great-circle bearing from your position to the Kaaba, then compares it against building axis or user evidence to produce deviation analysis.
Calculation steps
- Get location coordinates (latitude/longitude).
- Compute initial great-circle bearing to Kaaba.
- Estimate building orientation from OSM geometry or manual axis evidence.
- Report angular difference as deviation.
Tolerance model
Tolerance slider defines acceptable deviation threshold and can be adjusted in the app.
